With this tour you can explore the following places: Câmara de Lobos, Cabo Girão, Picos dos Barcelos, Eira do Serrado, Pico do Arieiro and Monte. Monte, is situated in the parish of Funchal and offers a great view of the Funchal bay. It also has a municipal garden where there are indigenous and exotic species of plants and some trees.
“Câmara de Lobos” is a fishing village, located south of the island in a small bay next to the Funchal. It is also known for the Poncha.
“Cabo Girão“, situated 580 meters above sea level is famous for its cliff which is the highest in Europe, where you can find a suspended glass platform with a magnificent and dizzying views of the Fajãs ranch and Cabo Girao .With a panoramic view of the Câmara de Lobos and Funchal municipalities.
“Pico dos Barcelos“, is located in Santo António parish where you can admire stunning views over the bay of Funchal, with the Deserted Islands in the background.
“Eira do Serrado” located in the interior of Câmara de Lobos municipality, with fantastic views over the valley of Curral das Freiras, which is a small village located in the heart of the island, one of the few places where it is not visible the sea.
“Pico Arieiro“, with 1818 m above sea level is the second highest peak of the island, gives us a fantastic view of the central massif of the island, and where you can start a walking path to the highest peak, PICO RUIVO.
“Monte“, situated in the parish of Funchal offers a great view of the bay of the city with municipal garden where there are indigenous and exotic species and some trees. This is where you can also enjoy an exciting descent of 2km in the famous car-of-baskets Hill, the means of transport more typical of Madeira.
